The Ministry of Interior has announced that "a legal action has been taken against 316 account holders who shared unreal images and voice records about new coronavirus (Covid-19) with the aim of provocation."
In a statement released by the Ministry, it has been stated that over the past week, "1,748 accounts have been probed over their posts propagandizing for a terrorist organization, inciting the public to enmity, hatred, fear and panic, conducting a perception operation and sharing provocative messages about coronavirus by publishing fabricated documents."
It has been further indicated that among these accounts, "316 of them have been detected to cause worry among the public, incite them to fear and panic and target persons and institutions before the public by spreading unreal images and voice records through fake accounts with the aim of creating a perception and provocation" about Covid-19."
"A legal action has been taken against these persons", it has noted.
