Ankara summons ambassador of France
The ambassador of France in Ankara was summoned to the Foreign Ministry where he was told that Ankara strongly denounces the Senate of France to host YPG members and to award them medals of honor.

Herve Magro, the ambassador of France in Ankara was summoned to the Foreign Ministry.
Magro was told that Ankara "strongly denounces the Senate of France to host members of YPG and to award them medals of honor."
Turkey sees the YPG (People's Defense Units) as extensions of the PKK in Syria.
YPJ (Women's Protection Units) spokesperson Rûksan Mihemed and YPG spokesperson Nûrî Mehmûd had participated in the Newroz reception given in the Senate of France and were given medals of honor.
It was also reported that a delegation of the autonomous administration in Rojava in Syria visited the Senate the day before the reception. (ME/PE)
