Presidential Candidates Declare Their Assets

Presidential candidates Selahattin Demirtaş (Co-Chair of HDP), Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu (MHP and CHP’s joint candidate) and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan (current Prime Minister) declared their assets to Turkey’s Higher Board of Elections (YSK).  

Selahattin Demirtaş

* House in Diyarbakır with a value of 260,000 liras 

* Office in Diyarbakır with a value of 100,000 liras used a law office 

* 2 Audi automobiles used for party organizations 

* 1 Skoda automobile used by his wife Başak Demirtaş  

Recep Tayyip Erdoğan

* 2,000 meter square property in Güneysu-Dumankaya Village (Value: 10,000 liras)

* Automobile (Value : 234,080 liras)

* A total of 4,404,192.13 liras and 200,000 dollars in various accounts. 500,000 liras lended 

Ekmeleddin İhsanoğlu

* 9 apartments in Istanbul, belonging to him or his wife, through inheriting or purchase

* 1 Opel Vectra automobile. Model year 2006. 

* 240,427 liras and 3,596,304 dollars in various accounts

* It was also declared that he donated his grandfather’s properties to Bozok University in Yozgat in 2011. (NV/BM)
