Seven documentaries about war and peace will be screened on the occasion of 1 September, Day of Peace.
Documentarist says, "Maybe for the first time, Turkey is discussing 'peace' so intensely. In the dark shadow of war, we learn together how to speak about 'peace'."
On 1 September, Day of Peace, and the two following days, Istanbul viewers can watch films dedicated to peace.
The event has been co-sponsored by the Dutch Consulate. There are seven documentaries from different parts of the world, which discuss experiences of war and peace.
The films, which are being screened for free in two sessions at the Union Church in Beyoğlu, Istanbul, are:
