Women TV Presenters Criticize Islamist Writer

Reacting against the statement of Sosyal Doku Foundation Chairman Nureddin Yıldız that it is not proper for men to watch women presenters on TV, HaberTürk  presenter Ece Üner said: “It is also in our hands not to give birth to these people.”

“They come to where they are by the help of women, but they criticize women in the first occasion. I am always saying this, women are the one who give birth, depriving of women in the fields of life also means the depriving of life. It is also in our hands not to give birth to these people. I am saying this to those who think it is not appropriate for women to work as TV presenters,” she said. 

Ardor: I am not a sexual object 

TV EM presenter Pınar Işık Ardor, on the other hand, said the following: 

“You have interrupted in everything we did. From how many children we must make to how we should give birth and even to what we need to do while pregnant or whether we must go out while pregnant. 

“I think Minister Müezzinoğlu had exceeded his limits. Excuse me, minister, but thousands of women want to have children in this country but they can’t do it for various reasons. It is not appropriate for Islamist writers to interrupt in these issues. 

“I am not a sex object when I am performing my job in front of the camera and I strongly condemn Islamist writers who criticize people like me. I urge them to apologize immediately.”

Yıldız: There is a difference between different types of looking 

Yıldız said the following: 

“It is not appropriate for a man to look at a woman. Women are in a position to ignite evil into the heart of a man through the devil.

“It is not the same when a man watches a woman presenter and when a man watches a man presenter. It is not appropriate for a man to watch a woman presenter on TV. 

“There is a difference between different types of looking ,” he said, reiterating that it is appropriate for a man to watch a man presenter on TV. (EA/BM)
