Erdoğan Meets Davutoğlu; Cabinet Resigns
After the general elections, The President Erdoğan precedently admits Davutoğlu and the cabinet’s resignation.
After Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu met ministers and some top government officials from Justice and Development Party (AKP) General Headquarters, he came to the presidential palace.
Reception in the presidential palace started at 17.40. Erdoğan and Davutoğlu had a closed-door meeting for an hour.
The presidency stated:
"The President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan admitted the cabinet’s resignation presented by Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu. The President Erdoğan thanked Davutoğlu for all achievements to date and requested him to continue his service until a new government is formed.” (HK/BD)
