News of National Intelligence Organization (MİT) Trucks carrying ammo to Syria published in Cumhuriyet Newspaper was demanded to be banned. Public Prosecutor of İstanbul launched an investigation against Can Dündar, Chief Editor of Cumhuriyet Daily Newspaper. Prosecution demanded the related web content to be blocked off.
Deputy Public Prosecutor of İstanbul, İrfan Fidan who is the investigation authority appealed to İstanbul Criminal Court of Peace with the demand of related content, image or photo to be banned and stated the related news and contents were fictional, inconvenient in point of national security and contrary to facts.
