"The Students of Büşra Ersanlı" prepared a video series entitled "Freedom to Büşra Ersanlı" to protest the imprisonment of Büşra Ersanlı,
The former Head of International Relations Department of Marmara University and a lecturer on Political Sciences, Prof. Büşra Ersanlı is under arrest at Bakırköy Women Prison for more than six months with charges related to the Union of Communities in Kurdistan (KCK) operations.
The first of the series begins with Melek Ulagay speaking. Then Ersanlı's supporters give voice to her text, describing "love":
"Love is enthusiasm and also freedom.
Love is freedom since one does not consider herself from a distance, put a distance between love and herself, assume roles, but brings together energy and creativity. One unknowingly takes a great step toward responsibility for the sake of freedom. One discovers reality within the dream and thrills to the power of love. For that very reason, just like a word to the wise is enough, no instruction is needed for the lover.
The family needs love, everyone needs love, and the state needs real democracy and freedom."
The supporters of the video are:
Ahmet Demirel, Ahmet Tonak, Bandista, Enis Rıza, Günay Göksu Özdoğan, İsmet Akça, Koray Çalışkan, Mahir Dönmezer, Melek Ulagay, Nadire Mater, Nesrin Uçarlar, Özgür Mumcu, Pınar Öğünç, Sezai Sarıoğlu, Sırma Evcan, Yıldız Göney, Yüksel Taşkın, Zeynep Oral, Zeynep Tanbay. (NV)
