Bianet Wins the TGC Internet Journalism Prize

Bianet wins Internet journalism prize by the Journalists Association of Turkey. Along with ntvmsnbc.com and hurriyetim.com.tr bianet was aawraded the prize for its performance in 2004. Our womens desk editor Belge recieved the award in Monday ceremony.

Bianet has been entitled to an award in the Internet journalism field, in Turkey Journalist Association's (TGC) annual National Journalism Success Awards

Our womens news editor Burçin Belge, received the prize in the name of bianet due the TGC ceremony in Ataturk Culture Hall (AKM) Monday night. Nilüfer Narli, dean of the Faculty of Communications of Kadir Has University (Istanbul), handed the prize to Belge.

"Crime of conscience in the New Penal Code spans a bigger set of actions that might lead to a conviction" said Orhan Erinç, head of the TGC, in the speech he gave at the inauguration.

The TGC awards are given in the TV, Journal and Internet fields annually. 37 journalists and three Internet news websites have been entitled to the prizes this year. (OA/EK/YE)
