Öcalan's "Road Map" Obstructed by "Inclement Weather"

Because of "inclement weather", Öcalan's lawyers have not been given permission to visit him on İmralı island.

According to the Fırat News Agency, lawyers of imprisoned PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan were not allowed to visit him today.

Lawyers from the Asrın law company went to the Gemlik Gendarmerie Command early this morning, but bad weather was cited as the reason for not letting them pass onto the İmralı prison island.

Lawyers Ömer Güneş, Aydın Oruç, Asya Ülker and Serkan Akbaşü have now applied to visit Öcalan on Friday, 14 August.

It is expected that Öcalan's own "road map" for a solution to the Kurdish question will be announced on 15 August.

The Radikal newspaper reports that there are plans for the road map plan to be announced in Eruh, a district of Siirt province and location for the first armed operation of the PKK on 15 August 1984.(TK/AG)
