Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock completed the laboratory investigation of the milk that was distributed to schools within the scope of School Milk campaign and caused to poisoning of thousands of children.

"There are no pathogen and disease-causing microorganisms or bacterial toxins and any other toxic substances in the milk samples" was stated in the report.

Ministry of Health and Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock created two committees and in the reports of these committees 'the importance of drinking milk for children' and the  "benefits" of school milk campaign are mentioned.

"There are no reasons determined to stop the milk distribution as there are no pathogen and disease-causing microorganisms. However the distribution company in Sivas is removed from the distribution chain as the milk distributed from this company included saprophyte microorganisms. Indeed these microorganisms do not cause disease however the milk sample does not provide the terms of sterility; so Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Livestock stop the distribution of this company's products."

"The current data of the children hospitalized do not indicate "food poisoning". However, we'll continue to examine each phase of school milk program carefully and meticulously." (ÇT)
